<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter used in a remote-control operation such as locking or unlocking and opening or closing of a door of, mainly, an automobile and to provide a communication system using it allowing a user to confirm its operation easily and enabling secure remote-control operation. <P>SOLUTION: This transmitter 16 is constituted in such a way that a receiver 17 transmits response signals corresponding to operation signals for locking or unlocking the door from the transmitter 16, and a controlling means 15 lets a light emitting means 13 near an operation means 12 emit light in accordance with the response signals received by a receiving means 14 to allow the user to confirm operation by the light emitting means 13 of the transmitter 16 carried by the user himself/herself.
