<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crack detection support device capable of detecting a crack of a measuring object effectively in the air, by radiating an ultrasonic wave having a strong sound pressure level (especially 130 dB or more) in a wide range. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This crack detection support device 100 includes: a vibrator 10 provided with a piezoelectric element, for generating an ultrasonic wave in a prescribed frequency band; a diaphragm 12 mounted on the distal end part of the vibrator 10, vibrating flexibly in a lattice mode by resonating with vibration of the vibrator 10, for generating a resonant wave having a prescribed sound pressure level; and a sound detection device 13 for detecting a sound generated from the measuring object 50 floating and vibrating in the air by the resonant wave radiated from the whole surface of the diaphragm 12.
