<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for accurately extracting a target, without largely affecting an illuminance distribution of an image data, even if an illumination environment is changed or a shadow exists in a subject. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device extracts precisely a color area of a target member, even if the illumination environment change or a shadow affects the illuminance distribution of the image data, by constitution of conducting logical sum computation of area data of a specified color to specify the one or the plurality of color areas of the target member, when extracting the area data of the specified color by area identification based on a chromaticity coordinate system, from the plurality of image data obtained by imaging the target member in different exposure times, by this image processing apparatus for the color target provided with an imaging means for picking up the target member having a plurality of color areas, and an image processing means for extracting the color image data of the one or the plurality of color areas of the target member, from the image data photographed by the imaging means.
