PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproduction apparatus capable of executing an intermediate language at high speed, while suppressing the performance that should normally be preferred, from deteriorating due to the influence of execution of dynamic transformation. SOLUTION: If a module executed during execution of the interpretation of a source program or an intermediate language program satisfies dynamic translation requirements, an intermediate language interpretation execution unit 123 tries to translate the module into a machine language by using an execution time translation unit 124. In this case, the translation to the machine language is inhibited for a thread for which dynamic translation is inappropriate, such as, a user interface answer thread for which answer performance based on user operation should be preferred.
