PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thrombosis without increasing hemorrhage by using a modified annexin protein, preferably annexin V. SOLUTION: The isolated modified annexin protein includes a first annexin protein coupled to a second protein, and has a longer half-life as compared with the half-life of an unmodified annexin protein within a vascular compartment thereof. In the isolated and modified annexin, the first annexin and the second annexin are mutually coupled with an amino acid spacer which has two glycine-serine swivel sites. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
