<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and implement for open-cutting a package without using a cutter from a safety point of view. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A plate-like object with an abrasive adhesively bonded or stuck to utilize the polishing and grinding force of the abrasive is molded as a method for open-cutting a package of food or various daily necessaries packaged with a packaging film, a bag, a vinyl tape or strings without using the cutter. The plate-like object is formed in pentagonal shape, and its outer peripheral side is formed in thin cutting edge shape with a thickness in a range of holding abrasive particles to form a cutting tool (a cutter without a cutting edge) in place of the cutter. As a method of application, the cutter without the cutting edge is held with the finger tips to press an angular part of the pentagonal shape lightly to the surface of the packaging film and to draw it, thus open-cutting the package.
