PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trench excavator capable of preventing soil from falling into a trench. SOLUTION: The trench excavator 1 includes a working machine body 3 connected to a tractor. The working machine body 3 is provided with a trench forming body for forming a trench while rotating. The working machine body 3 is provided with a trench shaping body 32 for shaping the trench in a rear position in the traveling direction of the trench forming body. The trench shaping body 32 has a trench side face shaping part 41 for shaping a trench side face, and a chamfer part 42 for chamfering an angular part between the trench side face and a field face.
