PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trench excavator capable of preventing the occurrence of such a fault that soil is accumulated near the upper end of a trench side face. SOLUTION: The trench excavator 10 includes a vertical rotating shaft 41 rotatably provided at a working machine body 12. The lower part of the rotating shaft 41 is provided with a spiral trench excavating blade 46 for digging up soil in a field. The upper part of the rotating shaft 41 is provided with a soil throw-away plate 47 throwing soil from the trench excavating blade 46 toward the side from a removal port 43.
