PURPOSE: A method for minimizing zapping delay according to unicast and multicast stream switching and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce loads due to double traffic process and synchronization, thereby preventing intensity of broadcasting from decreasing. CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether a broadcasting terminal requests to change a channel(S200). A broadcasting server transmits a multicast stream and a unicast stream to the broadcasting terminal(S300). A synchronization number included in packets which are classified based on the unicast stream or the multicast stream is analyzed. Only the unicast stream is de-tunneled/transmitted before synchronization. The multicast stream is transmitted to the broadcasting terminal after the synchronization(S400). |
