PURPOSE: A viewer presence detection determining presence rate of a viewer during outputting medium segments is provided to monitor user input of a client device and determine input time of the user input, thereby determining presence rate of a user in present time while a client device sympathizes with channel. CONSTITUTION: A detector(110) detects user input to a client device(100) from a remote control. When a user provides the user input, a determination module(120) determines input time. While the client device is sympathized in channel, a allocator(130) transfers initial value in existing rate of the user. A memory(140) stores time function used by a processor to determine existence probability of the user in present time.
