<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a hybrid vehicle, improving driving performance of the vehicle by avoiding occurrence of a shock or drive force reduction during gear shifting while suppressing reduction in vehicle performance at the time of gear shifting during traveling. <P>SOLUTION: In the FR hybrid vehicle, an output shaft from an engine ENG is connected to drive wheels LT, RT and a first motor/generator MG1 through a power distribution mechanism T/S, an output shaft of a second motor/generator MG2 is connected to the drive wheels LT, LR through a transmission T/M, and a gear ratio of the transmission T/M is controlled when a gear change instruction is made. The FR hybrid vehicle has: a third motor/generator MG3 connected to the drive wheels LT, RT from the transmission T/M; and a gear-shift drive force compensation control means (Fig. 4) estimating necessary compensation drive force for the amount of reduction in drive force of the second motor/generator MG2 during gear shifting, supplying compensation drive force by the third motor/generator MG3 in a gear shift start area, and thereafter compensating a part of the compensation drive force of the third motor/generator MG3 by drive force of the engine ENG when influence on the vehicle performance is large. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
