<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce occurrence of color shift even in any position other than the position of a color shift measuring means in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus measures a shift between images for respective colors Y, M, C and K formed by image forming units 13Y, 13M, 13C and 13K and reference positions for the respective colors at a measuring position which is determined beforehand by using a shift detecting section 105. Furthermore, data that is for correcting the shift between the images for respective colors in a plurality of positions differing from this measuring position and the reference positions for the respective colors as well as being the data that is derived from the amount of shift between the images for respective colors formed by the image forming units 13Y, 13M, 13C and 13K before being assembled to the image forming apparatus and the reference positions for the respective colors is stored to a storing section 102. A correction amount calculating section 103C creates the data for correcting the image based on the shift measured by using the shift detecting section 105 and the data in the storing section 102 and then an image correcting section 103B corrects the image based on the created data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
