PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar charger which quickly charges a battery while cooling it, allows a chargeable battery to be easily removed, and is capable of charging a battery pack with a different charge capacity. SOLUTION: The solar charger includes a support leg 2 on which a chargeable battery 1 can be set removably, and a battery panel 3 supported at a given tilt angle (α) by the support leg 2. The battery 1 is provided as a long and narrow rod-shaped battery pack 10 having a connection terminal 12 on its front end, which is connected to a power terminal 22 of the support leg 2. The support leg 2 is fixed to the back of a solar cell panel 3, and has a removal hole 20 in which the front end of the rod-shaped battery pack 10 is inserted removably to be connected. The removal hole 20 is formed at a position at which the rear end of the rod-shaped battery pack 10 inserted in the removal hole is located at the back of the solar cell panel 3, and has the power terminal 22 disposed on the interior of the removal hole. The solar charger works such that the front end of the rod-shaped battery pack 10 is inserted in the removal hole 20 to charge the rod-shaped battery pack 10 with power generated by the solar cell panel 3.
