<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press machine which is excellent in energy efficiency, and in which the distortion of a machine frame or the like is not caused. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The press machine comprises a chamber covering each hot plate so as to form a sealed space around the hot plate, and, the inner circumferential face contacted with the sealed space in the chamber is covered with a heat insulating material. Preferably, the chamber comprises: a press frame having a through hole and holding each hot plate in the through hole; and front and rear chambers covering the openings on both the edges of the through hole. Preferably, the front chamber is provided with an opening for carrying a workpiece into a space between the hot plates and taking out a product obtained by heating and pressing the workpiece, and the chamber comprises a front chamber cover for covering the opening of the front chamber. More preferably, the press machine further comprises a cover driving mechanism for opening/closing the opening of the front chamber by moving the front chamber cover.
