<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a seat device for vehicle having a mechanism for giving appropriate energization force to both "folding" and "lifting". Ž<P>SOLUTION: Intermediate gears 51, 52 are linked with a motor 50. A connection spring 53 is attached to the intermediate gears. A first sector gear 54 is attached to the connection spring. The connection spring is wound-up against the energization force by the driving force of the motor. Thus, the first sector gear is rotated. After the rotation, the first sector gear is abutted on the connection pin 55a of a second sector gear 55, and supports the rotation of the second sector gear. Thus, the inclination of a seat back frame 20 is supported.
