<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide shoes provided with protectors capable of protecting instep parts without prohibiting walking action. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The shoes are provided with instep protectors to cover the surface of the insteps. The instep protector comprises a base member part to cover a shoe distal end part, a curved plate part to cover the surface of the instep part, and a connection part to connect the base part to the curved plate part in a bendable way. The base part of the instep protector is fixed to both or either one of a distal end part of an upper member for composing a foot inserting part of the shoe and a shoe sole. The curved plate part and the connection part of the instep protector are not fixed to the upper member or the shoe sole. The instep protector may be formed of a one-body mold of rubber or synthetic resin, and a reinforcing plate formed of a copper plate or hard synthetic resin may be provided on an inner surface of the curved plate part of the instep protector.
