<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transferring type recording apparatus capable of accurately conveying a recording medium between respective thermal heads, eliminating positional deviation of an image and variation of image pitch between respective thermal heads, improving overlapping accuracy of respective colors, and printing on both faces of the recording medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pair of small pieces (300 and 302) facing a conveying platen drum are provided between adjoining thermal heads, and rollers (307 and 308) are provided on both ends in the circumferential direction of these small pieces. The rollers press the recording paper 100 to an elastic body 18A on the surface of the platen drum, and suppress the recording paper from separating from the platen drum.
