<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of measuring hardness at high precision and good reproducibility with simple operation for a short time even for both soft solid body and molded material of low hardness, and to provide a measuring method thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hardness measurement device for solid body/molded material consisting of a large number of holes on lateral side, a cylindrical or polygonal tube 1 having internally at least one sheet of wing running blade upward, and a motors 2 rotating the cylindrical or polygonal tube concerned 1 horizontally is rotated after inserting solid body or molded material 5 thereto and the time is measured required for reaching of measured weight of the powdered particles fallen from holes on the lateral side at a predetermined powdered ratio.
