<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent metal protrusions and spatter particles generated by laser-forming from hindering the assembly of a motor unit or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the motor includes a step of assembling the motor on a base member, and a step of laser-forming the base member by emitting laser light into a grooved or stepped notch formed at the side of the base member opposite to the motor. Another manufacturing method includes a step of assembling the motor on the base member, and a step of laser-forming the base member by emitting laser light into an irradiation area located at the side of the base member opposite to the motor.
