PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear plate which has a function to prevent damage to the upper end of a head rail by a wire rope when opening and closing a hopper window having both exposed frame pulley and sash pulley and which is formed of a fewer number of parts. SOLUTION: The frame pulley 2 and the sash pulley 3 are exposed. A mounting bracket 5 for the exposed sash pulley 3 is attached and affixed to a position slightly higher than the inner side upper end of the head rail by the rear plate 9. The rear plate 9 is constituted such that the end is bent in an L-shape and the front end thereof is bent. When a sash is opened and closed, the rear plate is stored without coming into contact any part. In addition, the rear plate has a function to prevent damage to the upper end of the hear rail.
