The binding (1) has book sheet elements (3) that are combined to a book block (2) and glued with one another in an edge area (2'). The sheet elements comprise respective rectangular recesses that form connection straps, where the straps are glued with one another. The connection straps are folded in respective folding directions and arranged in a common folding plane (FE), where the folding directions are oriented in opposite directions. Each sheet element has a sheet carrier layer, and a photo paper layer is fixed on a front side and/or rear side of the sheet carrier layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an adhesive binding.
