AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE USING INFRA-RED SENSOR

PURPOSE: An air conditioning control system of a vehicle using an infra-red sensor is provided to give a passenger pleasant environment by controlling the cooling/heating operation to reach the temperature established by the passenger. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioning control system of a vehicle is composed of an infrared sensor(10) and a controller(20). The infrared sensor comprises a thermopile(12) measuring the surface temperature of the passenger. The controller controls an air conditioning device using the temperature sensed by the infrared sensor. After determining a temperature value obtained from the combination of the surface temperature of the passenger sensed through the infrared sensor and the indoor temperature of a vehicle sensed through an inner temperature sensor or a thermistor as a current indoor temperature at an initial heating control stage, the controller controls the air conditioning device to perform cooling/heating operation based on the current indoor temperature.
