PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine for a vehicle in which the quietness of a passenger compartment is improved by reducing magnetic noise, while the complexity of an apparatus constitution and adverse effects on the original performance of the rotary electric machine are suppressed. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine for the vehicle stores a pair of an armature current and a field current suitable for an efficiency mode and a pair of the armature current and the field current suitable for a magnetic noise reducing drive mode at each target value (e.g. an output) and a rotational speed, operates with the pair of the armature current and the field current suitable therefor if the magnetic noise reducing drive mode is selected, and generates a necessary output (motor driven output, power generation output) (S106). |
