<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil with a clip which is structured in the way that a clip member can be easily fixed to a cap barrel etc. and can effectively prevent an apparent trouble such as a deviation of the tip part of a clip member in an axial direction from occurring. <P>SOLUTION: The clip member 4 has a window hole 4a formed longitudinally in the center, and a mounting base of the clip member 4 is constituted of at least a pair of collars 4d and 4e formed facing each other inwardly, at one end part, in a longitudinal direction, of the window hole 4a. In addition, the clip member 4 is fitted to a crown member 2 by fitting a pair of collars 4d and 4e of the clip member 4 into a pair of groove parts 2d and 2e which constitute a clip mounting part.
