<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive carton capable of surely containing an article with a simple assembly process, and a carton blank. <P>SOLUTION: A top-grip-type carton for carrying a plurality of articles such as cans includes an article cover structure and a pair of sidewall panels. The article cover structure includes at least one top wall panel and a pair of article fixing panels each having an article engaging slit. Each of the pair of sidewall panels is connected to a lower end of the pair of article fixing panels. Ends of the adjacent sidewall panels are connected to each other at the front end and the rear end of the carton.
