Method and assembly for regulating laser impulse energy

The method involves assigning a Q-switch in the form of a saturable absorber (30) to a laser resonator, where the saturable absorber is partially pre-saturated by a variable control light source (40) in intensity. An extent of the pre-saturation of the absorber is regulated over variation of the intensity of the control light source independent of a pumping capacity of a laser pump source (20). A pulse frequency of an energy-regulated laser light source is regulated by regulation of a pumping capacity irradiated by the pump source into a laser medium (10). An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing a method for controlling impulse energy of an impulse laser.
