Turboprop engine with pusher propeller

A turboprop propulsion unit includes a gas turbine engine arranged as such that main gas flow through the engine moves aft forward with respect to the direction of propulsion and that the turbine outlet area of the engine is physically in front of the compressor (14) of the engine in the direction of flight. A front pusher propeller (5) and a rear pusher propeller (6) are located aft of and driven by the engine. A propeller reduction gear (12) connects the turbine shaft with each pusher propeller.
