PURPOSE: A filtering device for exhaust gas is provided to prevent the filtering device from being damaged by discharging exhaust gas through a bypass when pressure is excessively increased. CONSTITUTION: A filtering device for exhaust gas comprises an outer case(120), a filtering unit, a filtering passage, a bypass, and a switching unit. The outer case is connected to an exhaust pipe. The filtering unit is arranged inside the outer case and filters exhaust gas. The filtering passage supplies the exhaust gas to a filtering part. The bypass is formed in the outer case to discharge the exhaust gas. The switching unit is formed in the outer case s that the exhaust bas can be selectively transferred to the filtering passage and the bypass.
