The process involves providing mold having open top and open bottom. A molten glass drop is dispensed into mold (12). The ram is struck down into mold for pressing glass drop (14) such that parison (18) is preformed. The parison is heated in medium portion to a temperature, at which viscosity of glass is less than 10 4>.7 dPa.second. The parison is blown while rotating parison for near-net shaping a container.
