POLYNORBORNE IONOMER WITH LOW COEFFICIENT OF THERMAL EXPANSION AND FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATES PRODUCED THEREFROM

PURPOSE: A polynorbornene ionomer and a flexible substrate using thereof are provided to secure the transparency, the, isotropy and the high glass transition temperature suitable for the flexible substrate. CONSTITUTION: A polynorbornene ionomer for a flexible substrate contains 0.001~10wt% of organic acid salt, and has the transparency more than 90%, the glass transition temperature over 250deg C, and the thermal expansion coefficient less than 200 ppm per deg C. The organic acid salt is selected from the group consisting of carboxylate, sulfonic acid salt, and phosphate. The polynorbornene ionomer is produced by polymerizing a norbornene derivative with the organic acid salt when polymerizing polynorbornene.
