PURPOSE: A fuel saving device for a vehicle is provided to minimize fuel consumption by enabling inertia driving at a fuel cut state when the torque of a driving wheel is higher than the output of an engine. CONSTITUTION: A fuel saving device for a vehicle comprises a drive shaft(10), a movable cylinder(20), an output shaft(40), an elastomer(30), a movable unit(50), and a controller. The drive shaft comprises forward and reverse drive screw units(11,13) between slip units(12). The movable cylinder is formed of a first space(21) and a second space(23). The output shaft is inserted into the second space to prevent rotation and enable slide movement. The output shaft supports the rectilinear movement of a movable cylinder. The elastomer is coupled with the forward drive screw part. The movable unit moves the movable cylinder rearwards. |
