PURPOSE: A device and a method for preventing the theft of a terminal using grant regional setting are provided to easily find a robbed terminal by transmitting the location of the terminal to a terminal user. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing the theft of a terminal using grant regional setting comprises an approval region setting part(110), an approval region determination part(120), a user confirmation part(130), a locking setting part(140) and an emergency signal transmit part(150). The approval region setting part establishes the usage grant region of the terminal. The approval region determination part determinates whether the destination location inputted to the terminal is the usage grant region or not. If the inputted destination location is not the usage grant region, the user confirmation part confirms the registration of a user.
