PURPOSE: A refrigerant distributor of a heat exchanger and a manufacturing method thereof is provided by the formation of a multi-branch barrel using a metallic material different from a distributing tube. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant distributor comprises a distributing tube(10), a multi-branch barrel(20), a bead portion(12), a filter(30), and capillary tubes(40). A blocking plate(11) including holes formed on one end of the distributing tube is integrally formed in the vertical direction and the distributing tube is reduced by a given length from the other end. The multi-branch barrel is inserted into the distributing tube, comprises the holes corresponding to the holes of the blocking plate and one end of the multi-branch barrel makes contact with the blocking plate. The bead portion is formed along the outer circumference of the distributing tube and fixes the multi-branch barrel inserted into the distributing tube. The filter is inserted into the other side of the distributing pipe and filters refrigerant. The capillary tubes passes through the holes of the blocking plate and the multi-branch barrel and make the refrigerant distributed through the multi-branch barrel flow into the heat exchanger.
