PURPOSE: A pencil coil ignition coil for a vehicle is provided to reduce time required for an assembling process as an ignition coil can be easily installed in and disassembled from the engine head cover. CONSTITUTION: A pencil coil ignition coil for a vehicle comprises a cable case(110) and a boot(120). The high voltage cable is connected to the cable case. The boot is expanded to the lower part of the case and is coupled with the ignition plug within an engine cylinder. A latch type coupling tip(127) is formed on the external surface of the boot. A coupling hole(211) coupled with the latch type coupling tip is formed on the inner diameter of a head cover(210) of the engine. The head cover and the boot of the engine are connected to each other.
