<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling the amount of a sub-material supplied to an electric furnace are provided to determine the normality of user input and make an alarm when an erroneous feed value is inputted. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling the amount of a sub-material supplied to an electric furnace comprises a key input unit(50), a sub-material feed amount setting unit(60), and a controller(40). The amount of a sub-material supplied to an electric furnace is input to the key input unit. The sub-material feed amount setting unit determines mis-input based on a reference feed amount and sets a sub-material feed amount according to the determination result. The controller controls a feeder for supplying a sub-material into the electric furnace.</p> |
