摘要 FIELD: mining. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry, in particular to underground gasification of thick coal beds. Method includes drilling wells in coal bed in rows to arrange bed wells of upper and lower layers. Upper row of bed wells is drilled over lower row of bed wells in staggered order. Combustion face is ignited, and coal bed is gasified from upper layer via bed wells of upper row with blowing along some of them - blowing ones, and discharge of combustible gas along the other ones - gas discharge ones. As combustion face sets back, and ledge is formed in thickness of coal bed, lower layer gasification is started, using bed wells of lower row and blowing bed wells of upper row to supply blowing along them, as well as gas discharge bed wells of upper row for discharge of combustible gas. Formed ledge in thickness of coal bed is permanently preserved by lead of gasification along upper layer of coal bed. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of gasification of thick, mostly steep and inclined coal beds. ^ 7 cl, 5 dwg
