<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow sound generation such that a driver can actually feel a comfortable sense as in a drive of an internal combustion vehicle, or arbitrary sound generation, increase and decrease of volume, and mute switching such that the driver can actually feel a quiet driving, notify another driving vehicle and pedestrians of an approach of the vehicle by outputting a sound, and further prevent traffic accidents by sounding the alarm for urging the driver himself/herself to be awake. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An electric vehicle running by driving wheels by an electric motor using a battery or a fuel cell as a power source includes a driving sound control device which includes a sound generator, a sound controller and a device for switching sound generation and mute, and an alarm device.
