<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance centrifugal compressor through the realization of wide working range and high compression efficiency by allowing flow of gas to be fed to an impeller in a state of being as uniform as possible. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The centrifugal compressor 1 consists of a shaft 2, an impeller 3 which compresses gas by centrifugal force, and a casing 5 which keeps a flow path 4 flowing the gas from the upstream side to the downstream side. The flow path contains a straight part 20 which extends toward the radially inside from the radially outside, a corner part 21 which is curved in parallel with respect to the axial direction of the shaft to feed the gas to the impeller in a direction parallel to the axial direction, and a suction passage 10 which changes the direction of the gas flowing toward the radially inside from the radially outside to an axial direction of the shaft immediately before the impeller. A guide vane 27 which is arranged at some midpoint in a curve of the corner part and which streamlines the flow of the gas passing through the corner part is provided in the suction passage.
