<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for a water permeable side ditch, surely holding a slit-like water passing clearance between lid members and capable of placing the each lid member in a manner of following the unevenness of a lid-receiving step surface by connecting the lid members in a vertically displaceable manner. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Projections 24 for holding the water passing clearance 20 are respectively formed on the lid members 21 comprising the lid body 2. The opposite faces of the projections 24 are formed so that they may scuff each other in a loosened state of a connecting screw rod 25 (a connecting means). Vertically long ball guiding grooves 30 are formed on the opposite faces of the projections, respectively, and each of the balls 3 is slidably fitted between two opposite ball guiding grooves in a manner of being sandwiched. Adjacent lid members are formed so that they can be displaced in a vertical direction with respect to each other through the intermediary of the ball guiding grooves and the balls, in the loosened state of the connecting screw rod 25.
