<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking aid performing change of a display screen during parking operation with respect to a parking space always at the same timing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A vehicle rearward display device includes: a wide angle camera 6 for taking a vehicle rearward image; a white line detection section 3 for detecting white lines 10 (parking lines) shown for recognizing a vehicle rearward parking space from an image taken by the wide angle camera 6; and an image output section 4 for changing an image displayed on a display 8 from a wide range image to a narrow range image based on information detected by the white line detection section 3. The image output section 4 changes the wide range image to the narrow range image when the spacing of the white lines 10 detected by the white line detection section 3 becomes a predetermined value or more.
