<p>A overload control method for an access network element and a device thereof are provided, relating to the field of communications technology; wherein, the overload control method for an access network element includes: when the access network element is overload, the information of User Equipment(UE) with low priority accessing the access network element is obtained; the procedure for deleting the UE with low priority from the access network element is initiated.
