<p>The aim of the invention is to provide a miniaturised solution that is easy to use and has a maximum operational lifespan. According to the invention, the adaptability and the parameterization of several operational data are also easily implemented. A high-frequency cerebral microstimulator according to the invention comprises a bipolar electrode (1) one end of which is implanted in the skull of a laboratory animal, and connected to an electronic stimulation circuit (3) comprising components (32, 33, 34, 35) and capable of supplying a single-phase electric signal to the electrode (1). The electronic stimulation circuit (3) is removably mounted on the skull via at least two electrically conducting links, the electrode being connected to said links by a second end and the power supply (35) of the electronic circuit being on-board. Advantageously, said stimulation circuit (3) is mounted on a substrate (2) attached to the skull by lugs, snap-fitting means (31) and/or screws. The invention also relates to a method for installing such a microstimulator.</p> |
