PURPOSE: A surface treatment method of a white light emitting phosphor is provided to simplify the manufacturing process, ad to improve the reliability of a fluorescent membrane. CONSTITUTION: A surface treatment method of a white light emitting phosphor comprises the following steps: mixing green, red, and blue light emitting phosphors; dispersing the light emitting phosphor mixture and a metal oxide to water; and inserting a binder to the dispersed solution and stirring. A red light emitting phosphor from the light emitting phosphors is selected from the group consisting of Y2O3:Eu, (Ca,Sr)S:Eu, and (Zn,Cd)(S,Se):Ag.
