PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic-inorganic composite comprising bacteria and transition metal oxides, and a method for manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the organic-inorganic composite comprising bacteria and transition metal oxides comprises the steps of: attaching a cationic transition metal precursor to the surfaces of bacteria having high negative charge as a template; refluxing the bacteria and transition metal ions at room temperature in the presence of sodium borohydride; and inducing a reduction or spontaneous oxidation reaction so that the organic-inorganic composite has excellent high-capacity electrochemical properties.
