<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical line monitoring system for monitoring a plurality of optical fiber lines in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The optical line monitoring system 1 for monitoring the optical fiber lines 30<SB>1</SB>-30<SB>N</SB>includes an optical pulse tester 12, an optical switch 13, a splitter 14, photocouplers 15<SB>1</SB>-15<SB>N</SB>, photocouplers 16<SB>1</SB>-16<SB>N</SB>, a control section 17, and reflection sections 22<SB>1</SB>-22<SB>N</SB>. When the optical switch 13 selectively outputs a pulse test light input to a port P from a port P<SB>0</SB>to the splitter 14, the optical line monitoring system 1 collectively and simply monitors the optical fiber lines 30<SB>1</SB>-30<SB>N</SB>, and identifies the failed optical fiber lines 30<SB>n</SB>. When the optical switch 13 selectively outputs the pulse test light input to the port P from a port P<SB>n</SB>to the photocoupler 15<SB>n</SB>, the optical line monitoring system 1 identifies a failure location in the particular optical fiber lines 30<SB>n</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
