<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device configured such that when first information image or second information image is shown on a display device installed, for example, in a street or in front of a store, the first or the second information image is displayed according to whether there is an observer or not or the distance or position of the observer. <P>SOLUTION: The information display device includes: a display section for displaying information; a storage section for storing the first information image and the second information image shown on the display section; a detecting section for detecting presence or absence of an observer in front of the display section, and also the distance of the observer from the display section; a display size control section for controlling the display size of the second information image on the basis of the distance of the observer, detected by the detecting section; and a display control section that shows the first information image on the display screen of the display section if the detecting section detects that there are no observers, and that shows the first information image on the entire display screen of the display section and also shows the second information image in the controlled display size, if the detecting section detects that there is an observer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
