PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massager which can ascertain the effect of massage. SOLUTION: The massager includes a machine main unit 5 having treatment elements 6 that carry out massage movement with respect to a part to be treated of a person to be treated, a massage control section 20 controlling movement of the machine main unit 5, an elasticity estimating section 21 estimating elasticity of the part to be treated on the basis of information acquired when the treatment elements 6 abut the part to be treated, and an evaluation processing section 23 evaluating alleviation of stiffness of the part to be treated by comparing elastic properties of the part to be treated estimated by the elasticity estimating section 21 between elastic properties before and after applying the massage movement on the part to be treated.
