PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of changing the specification of a control program without changing the arrangement of the data in a rewritable non-volatile memory. SOLUTION: Data arrangement address information 1000 indicating the correspondence of first address information indicating the address on an EEPROM 104 in which the control data to be used by an old control program, and of second address information indicating the address on the EEPROM 104 in which the control data used by a new control program is arranged, is stored in a ROM 102. An access following the first address information is made to the EEPROM 104 by referring to the data arrangement address information 1000, and access following the second address information is made to a RAM 103.
