<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding an insert by which camber of a molding can be suppressed even when an anisotropic seat material is used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method for molding the insert, a lower die 2 and an upper die 3 which are disposed to face each other are used, a seat material 6 in which a shrinkage factor in a longitudinal direction and a shrinkage factor in a transverse direction are different and which is made of a resin is arranged on a metallic die surface of the lower die 2, the lower die 2 and the upper die 3 are clamped, a molten resin is then injected into a clearance between the seat material 6 and the metallic die surface of the upper die 3 and is cooled. When the molten resin is injected, temperature difference between the lower die 2 and the upper die 3 is set and further the molten resin is made to flow along a direction where the shrinkage factor of the seat material 6 is small.
