<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist apparatus which can mix homogeneously steam and air to jet the mixture safely into a space filled with mist while a steam pathway and an air pathway are avoided from being highly pressurized and the steam or the air is prevented from flowing backward. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The narrowest part of a mixer for mixing steam and air to produce a mixture has a section area of the same as, or larger than, what the narrowest part of the steam pathway has upstream and to what that of the air pathway has upstream.
